Announce to the world that a classic and well loved cult snowboard accessory brand was coming back for the 2013 snowboard season. Due to the highly classified product and complete brand redevelopment that was underway, product photography would not be available to help tell the story. Despite this shortcoming, the new site needed to engage and communicate quickly that Bakoda is now a “big time” brand playing with the likes of Dakine and Burton in the snowboard accessory park.
We found a simple and beautiful way to play off the anticipation of the return of this iconic brand by pairing it with that unmistakably exciting feeling of the impending snowboard season. This simple mobile optimized site pulled viewers in with anticipation and then captured emails from consumers and retailer trendsetters who want to stay up to date for launch news and pre-order preparation.
